WHAT TO EXPECT ON THURSDAY, 14 NOVEMBER
The Oakhill equine team are delighted to invite you to our Client Evening at Barton Manor Hotel on Thursday, 14th November. We promise an educational, fun-filled evening with competitions and prizes along the way!
This year we are pleased to announce that Meredith (Merry) Smith, MA Vet MB PhD Cert ES DIP ECVS AECVDI MRCVS will be our guest speaker, presenting on the topic of “Keeping Your Horse Moving: Managing ‘Arthritis’ in the Horse”.
Plus there will be two presentations from Oakhill’s own equine vets:
- Rosie Stone – “Random Needles or Great Armoury?” – Equine Director Rosie will be discussing the potential benefits of acupuncture for dealing with myofascial pain in your horse.
- Kai Cahun – “Behind the Scenes: A Vet’s Journey with World Horse Welfare – Challenges, Triumphs, and Transformative Care” – Vet Kai will be sharing his experiences working as a veterinary surgeon for equine charity World Horse Welfare. He will explain some of the challenges he faces working in the charity sector and will give you an inside peek at the wonderful work this charity performs.

CHARITY RAFFLE
This year we are raising funds for World Horse Welfare – a charity close to our hearts – with all proceeds from our evening going straight to helping horses in need. There are loads of great prizes to be won on the night, and a free gift with every ticket!
World Horse Welfare is an international charity that has been helping horses in need in the UK and around the world since 1927. The charity works across the full spectrum of the horse world to improve welfare and the horse-human relationship through care, research, education and influence.
